When people talk about “Browser Wars”, a lot of the times people are referring to the infamous fight between Microsoft and especially Netscape Navigator. Microsoft ended up – unfortunately – winning the war and Internet Explorer set out to create all kinds of new horrible non-standard web standards.

However, to me, Browser Wars is an ongoing thing. Yeah – Microsoft won the first Browser War (and that led to the incredible and unfortunate success of Internet Explorer), but there’s a browser war going on right now as well. And now it’s Google squashing out the competition using Chrome – and just like last time, the fight isn’t exactly clean. But let’s not get into that too much!
